Privacy Policy

Suited (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is developed by Quadratrix. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at cnidaria@quadratrix.ca.
Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and password, or, if you sign in with Google, your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account.
Profile information
You provide information to build your profile, including:
- Name
- Age
- Gender
- City (chosen from a list — we do not collect your precise GPS location)
- Profile photos
- A short bio
- Interests and “looking for” preferences
- Answers to profile prompts
Other users can also write a short “matchmaker note” about you as part of how the app’s matchmaking works; this is visible to other users, the same as the rest of your profile.
Messages
When you’re paired with another user and start a conversation, we store the messages you send so the conversation works and so you and the other participant can see your message history. Only participants in a conversation can read its messages.
Device and notification information
We store a device push-notification token so we can deliver notifications (for example, a new pairing or a new message). This token is deleted automatically if it stops working.
Points and activity
We track points and leaderboard standing based on your matchmaking activity within the app.
How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Operate core app features: creating and displaying profiles, matchmaking and pairing, messaging, and notifications
- Maintain the leaderboard and points system
- Keep the app secure and address abuse
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who Can See Your Information
- Your profile (name, age, gender, city, photos, bio, interests, prompts) is visible to other users of the app, since the app’s core purpose is letting users browse and pair profiles.
- Messages are visible only to the participants of that conversation.
- Matchmaker notes written about you by other users are visible to other users as part of your profile.
Third-Party Services
We use Google Firebase to run the app, including:
- Firebase Authentication — manages sign-in, including Google Sign-In
- Cloud Firestore — stores profile, pairing, and message data
- Firebase Storage — stores profile photos
- Cloud Functions — runs backend logic, such as sending notifications and awarding points
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivers push notifications
These services are provided by Google and are subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services; if that changes, we’ll update this policy.
Data Security
Access to your data is restricted using Firebase security rules. For example, only conversation participants can read a conversation’s messages, and only you can modify your own profile photos. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see Delete Your Account for instructions.
Children’s Privacy
Suited is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. See our Child Safety Standards for more on how we address child safety concerns.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll update the effective date above when we do.
